GERMAN STUDIO ELEPHANT BY STEIFF
29″ (74 cm.) h. 41″l. Of silky plush, the firmly-stuffed grand-sized elephant has stitched ears, and has original Steiff button and yellow tag in ear. Excellent condition. Germany, Steiff, late 1900s, grand studio exhibition size.

A Steiff mohair rotating head circus elephant, 1930’s With white mohair, blue and black glass eyes, felt tusks and open mouth, tail- operated head-turning mechanism, jointed front legs, snap-jointed hind legs, velvet pads and inoperative squeeker, (some wear to mohair, lacks tail and button), 24cm (9 1/2in) tall.

STEIFF ELEPHANT PULL TOY, with black-painted metal eyes, retaining metal button, fixed on a cast-iron base with wheels. Circa 1930. 12 1/2″ HOA, 16″ LOA. Good overall condition with expected wear and other imperfections including toning, fading, worn spots to fabric, and/or tears, particularly to the trunk, tusks, and ears.
